12:15 pm - I see a bad moon rising.
Whats up,

Yes I know I have no updated in forever but here we go with some randomness.

- Sabu is a F%$#ing warrior. Broken Arm, chopped off end of his finger, and partially scalped and he still shows up for a ass kicking. Hopefully we can do it again.
- Yesterday was national Enzuigiri day? did you forget? Its ok I think today is national punch in the face day.
- The crowd for ROH's philly show was awesome. Now I have to kill a swiss man and I should feel better.
- I just got a advanced copy of TNA's Best of Samoa Joe DVD realease and I think its pretty good. Rest assured it is clipping free. Full Matches only. It drops June 6th!
- Final Fantasy Advent Children has some awesome action sequences
- Minoru Tanaka is your new favorite wrestler, just dont be offended if he hates all you round eyed westerners.
- I hate white Jeans
- Current Xbox 360 games of choice.
Oblivion (Aka videogame crack)
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfare
Fight Night Round 3 ( I knock Chritian Cage the F%$# out!)
Burnout Revenge

Thats about all. I will try to be more regular about updating.
Until Next time.

04:58 pm - Some Clarification.
Attentions fans in the UK and Germany.
I will not be appearing this weekend for PWG.
Upon arriving to LAX I was informed that our flight to Chicago was delayed and that unless we made it onto a flight at 10:45 standby that we would most likly miss our connection to Manchester and our connection to Dusseldorf. Well I did have a potential seat on the standby flight that was quickly gone when the last ticketed passenger arrived before the gate closed.
The option offered to us by American included a series of unconfirmed standby flights and even a train trip which I opted out of and decided to stay home rather then be stranded playing catch up across Europe. Also since PWG's "office" had already flown to Germany early in the morning re-booking was next to impossible.

My apologies to the fans but from all reports most other PWG talent will be able to make it to the show safe and sound. As a addendum my former "non appearance" at PWG in LA was simply a result of PWG never confirming the booking with my booking agent and it not appearing on my monthly schedule.

S. Joe

Hopefully these difficulties will be remedied in the future.

07:10 pm - Health Update.
Just to let everyone know what is going on.
After my last show in detroit I noticed a small cut underneath my right arm right near the armpit. It was a little red and irritated so I cleaned it and paid it no mind.
Over the next few days it had swollen (to about the size of a large marble) and I decided to head to the doctor right away.
As I susupected the doctor diagnsed it as a pretty severe Staph infection and I am now on antibiotics. Next week I will be looking into getting it drained.
If anything my non participation this weekend is not only for my safety but the safety of my co-workers in ROH. The last thing anyone needs is a epidemic and for something like this to spread.

A note to indy promoters out there.

WASH your CANVASES!!!
I am suprsed I have actually gone this long unaffected.
It takes nothing more than some diluted bleach and a handtowel wipedown to prevent this type of stuff from afflicting your wrestlers.

I apologize to the fans of the midwest this weekend and I promise I will do my best to make it up to you all next time ROH swings through the midwest.

My special thanks to Gabe Sapolski and the Ring of Honor office for being VERY understanding. Regardless Low Ki has been added to the shows so rest assured I should not be missed too much.

05:26 pm - I'm Back
Well I'm back for a much delayed journal update.

For all the people who sent kind words about the PPV match, thank you. I am glad you enjoyed it and I really am (along with guys like AJ, Daniels, hell damn near everyone in TNA) trying to deliver the best action for your PPV buck.

On the injury side yes I did dislocate my Jaw but thanks to TNA's awesome resident Chiropractic/Kinisiology/Fix your broken down ass expert Dr. Craig Aaron he was able to reset my jaw after the match and it is suprisingly comfortably today sans some limited motion and a occasional head ache.

You should have seen how absolutly ridiculous AJ and I looked at Chipoltle the next morning staring at our giant burritos that we really had no ability to even begin to bite into. Especially since we where both starving and did not have the ability to eat the night before.

Fortunatly I have a short respite tommorrow before I am back on the job for PWG and ROH. I guess I will see you all there.

Stay Frosty.

08:00 pm - Aftermath
So,
Break Time

Alot has happened since the last entry, damn near too much to fit into an entry and requiring even more energy to recant. SO I give you some random verbage.

- I apologize for those who felt my encounter with Liger was not up to par. I will say that TNA wanted it to be, but circumstances sometimes effect the outcome of everything on the show. I will commit myself to make it up to you the fans in the coming weeks

- How awesome is Showtime Eric Young? More than you can even imagine

- I really wish I could be out in CT for ROH but personal commitments are preventing me & believe me it feels MEGA WEIRD not being at a ROH show. Alas the level of talent in ROH these days I doubt I will be missed.

- Australia F&^%$&% rules.

- Kenta Kobashi, we have to do this again somewhere down the line.

- Dave Batista... Ehh its not even worth it, I hope your opinion of others made you feel better about yourself.

- The Warriors rules, speaking of games hopefully TNA's will be happening soon.

- ROOR!

Onward and upward folks. I will see you when I get there.

Then again

Matthew 36: 33-34
When Seeking first the kingdom of God and his righteousness- In all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow- for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Sure not from the Hagakure reference but there are many other books I draw inspiration from even the Bible.
OK so translation, "Don't worry about tomorrow for it will take care of itself, there is enough to handle today."

Well wish me luck!
Huzzah!

02:20 am - Untapped wonder.
Cars fueled by corn.
Now I am sure the majority of you have heard of this concept before but found it far fetched. In my mind after the recent jump in fuel prices and the long overstayed dependence on middle eastern oil hell, why not? Tonight I have been a bit of an insomniac and was watching The History Channel (My favorite channel btw.) which had an episode of modern marvels on talking about Sugar and its many alternative uses. The main alternative usage which caught my attention was how sugar was being converted into Ethanol which could easily fuel a combustion engine.
In Brazil Ethanol has reduced the countries dependence on foreign oil to around %15. In addition to that it basically slashed the price of fuel in half making it much more affordable. You see after the oil embargo of 73' those wacky Brazilians flooded tons of money into alternative fuel research and came up with Ethanol. Basically you take a sugar bearing crop like corn, sugar cane, and/or sugar beats, process it, and sprinkle in some yeast, ferment, strain and wa laa CAR FUEL! OK OK OK so the process is much more complicated than that, but you have to admit it is much more environmentally friendly than refining crude.
So allow us to recap
We have a fuel that will
-Alleviate reliance on foreign countries oil
-Bolster the US agricultural industry
-Slash fuel prices
-Is environmentally more sound to refine that crude
-Requires no additional money for R&D since brazil already did the brainwork for us.

WHAT IS THE HOLD UP!?

In all fairness allegedly ethanol makes up %30 of our current fuel supplies but I say that percentage should be way higher.

Bah it's late, and I'm on the verge of going off on a cross political, environmentally sound, opinion laden tirade.

Just some minor food for thought, please if you know some more pros' and cons' feel free to reply as I would like to be educated more on the matter.

Hooray for Bio-fuels!

08:49 pm - The Plan
Well most thought that it was just rhetoric.

"The business is different, the politics are too thick."

Well in a way you re right, but that does not mean I'm not going to try.
This industry began a long time ago and has made a lot on money during its existence.
The premise was simple, an athletic competition between individuals in a attempt to captivate and entertain the masses.

The premise has gone through evolutions ever since, It went from "hooking", to "wrestling", to "wrasslin", to "sports entertainment". Now I have an opportunity to present you my theory, my idea for the next evolution.
I know what I am, I know what I am not, trust me, but I am me.
Who knows if the "mainstream" world will take to what we want to show them, but you better believe I'm going to take the chance and give it  110%.
I hope your along for the ride, or at least ready to watch us roll.

You can call it whatever you want but it is always "wrestling", and thats what we've got for you

Who's coming with me?

12:24 pm - People all over the world, its the SOOOOOOOOOOOOOUL train!
Hello,

S Jizzle fo Shizzle here.

How about that new Kanye West Album!
I love it
How about Kanye on hurricane relief!
Ehh not so much.

** Katrina is a Gold digger**

Should he be allowed to say what he wants? Yup.
Was it really necessary or serve a purpose? Nope.

At this point in the game how you think people are being perceived is irrelevant, there are people who need help not politics. Social commentary does not feed the starving or shelter the homeless, keep your eyes on the prize homie as we all should.

But damn I love his new album! Honestly though sensationalizing the situation only makes it worse and overshadowing on the real problem.

So it was sort of a low key weekend.
On Saturday I met my girl's butcher who is an old Italian man who is convinced he is going to make her his new girlfriend. The awesome part was when he pulled out the Bentley brochure and began to oogle over the new car he is all set to "Pay cash for". I actually really like the guy and admire his spirit, he also is a freaking AWESOME butcher so how can I dislike him. In fact as long as she keeps shaking her ass the right way, and  I keep getting 15 bucks off all my cuts of meat its ALL GOOD!
You're a sport chick!

** Yes yes I am a scumbag**

PWG was a lot of fun. Kikutaro and Nozawa are two of the most hilarious knucklehead you will ever meet. As of note I never thought I would ever get my nipple sucked in a match, ah well 1st time for everything. Topgun really needs to lay off the field chalk.

Last night I had a meeting with the Business manager of the New Japan LA dojo. I decided to hit up Koji's because I have been on a major sushi kick lately. All I have to say is that Koji's Kobe Roll is insane. Basically a California roll (booooring) with thin slices of Kobe beef layered on top and brushed with what I think is butter (SWANK!) It will give you a heart attack, so maybe only a occasional indulgence.

Well I gotta go get my ass kicked all over the gym by a bunch of top notch Jiu Jitsu grapplers that I have been rolling with weekly.
The joys of combat. huzzah!

Until we meet again.

Hi everyone,

Listen our country is in crisis and aside from that people need help.

GO OUT AND DONATE whatever you can to Katrina relief!
If you are proud to call yourself an American or even a human being there are people out there who need our help. I know Gas prices are ridiculous but even if its the spare change on your dresser it is worth the effort. By the way, F^%$ Gas companies!
In a time of crisis and a time where feul companies are making RECORD BREAKING profits they have no concious whatsoever about giving out some price relief and cutting into there profit margin. I really wish I could slap the sh&^ out of some of these companies CEO's.

By the way sorry for the "*&^%" but my niece is around and I don't want her picking up any bad habits.

Regardless get out there and make a difference, collect on some good karma, you won't regret it.

01:05 am - The Randomness
Hi,

-For those who are wondering yes I did throw a "fan" out of the last ROH show. Not for chanting, or being a general attention whoring jackass, but for an attempt to throw bull$h!t into the ring. I always say it is a wrestling show and you are there to say whatever you please, but the minute you want to start throwing unwanted stuff into my ring then don't be surprised when you receive the attention you so despretly crave.

-I really like Darkwatch for XBoX. Shooting the head's off things make me happy.

-IWC was fun, good crowd.

-Aside from the obvious exception ROH's crowd was great also.

-CIMA is cool, but AJ really wanted a shot at the bug guy in Dragon Gate.

-Rick Noon lives, and made a appearance in Buffalo

-Hot, Spicy, & Tastes GREAT bitches!

-Micro Chip car keys are BS! Just an excuse for the dealer to charge you a ton of money

-Make sure you sign up for frequent flyer programs. 1st class kicks ass, especially after a long weekend of wrestling.

-Im tired.. Later,
S.J.

11:35 pm - Own Up
"It is said that one should not hesitate to correct himself when he has made a mistake. If he corrects himself without the least bit of delay, his mistakes will quickly disappear. But when he tries to cover up a mistake, it will become all the more unbecoming and painful. When words that one should not use slip out, if one will speak his mind quickly and clearly, those words will have no effect and he will not be obstructed by worry. If there is, however, someone who blames a person for such a thing, one should be prepared to say something like, "I have explained the reason for my careless speech. There is nothing else to be done if you will not listen to reason. Since I said it unwittingly, it should be the same as if you didn't hear it. No one can evade blame." And one should never talk about people or secret matters. Furthermore, one should only speak according to how he judges his listener's feelings."**
**from The Hagakure

I honestly am going to leave this one up for your own interpretation. In past entries that I have posted I have added alot of commentary but the boldness, yet slight vaugness of its wording will leave you to ponder. In this state of "pondering" I found and understood the passage in full, or at least to the best of my perception. I would invite you to share the same experience.

06:00 pm - The Pirates of California
Hola,

Well this week I have been on a long needed vacation.
I decided to spend my vacation on my good friends boat trolling off the shore of Southern California going into Mexico, drinking Coronas, and indulging in some fine fine FISHING. We hit on some great Dorado and I fought with a Wahoo for a good 35 minutes only to have it snap the line when it was within gaffing range (OOh I'll hunt you down you wily motherF&^%er!).
Other than that I have been making a point to relax and enjoy myself.
I saw "Wedding Crashers" recently and to no ones suprise I loved it, no more be said.

I actually have taken some time and did some Comic reading lately. I honestly don't read alot of books or even read regularly though I do wish I read more. I mostly go off the reccommendations of friends and colleagues with CM Punk, RVD & Raven being my word of mouth authorities. Also I LOVE trade paperbacks. I honestly am not a collector and I hate waiting for the next months issues so trades rule the school!
Of stuff I have read over the past week and loved

Wanted (I thought the cover looked cool, was pleasantly suprised)
The Authority (Raven Reccomendation)
Batman Hush (CM Punk Reccomendation)
Preacher (The Trifecta CM Punk, RVD, & Raven reccomendation)

If any of you have any good books you want to reccommend feel free to leave some ideas in the comments.

Overall life is good right now and I am doing my best to keep this vibe going. I am working for two companies who let me be me to different degrees, The sun is shining, there is bread in the box, and the people that are closest to me are happy. In all honesty today is one of those days you wish you could freeze frame and hang on your mantel piece to remind you of what's important in the rougher times. Look around and you will find a multitude of things to be thankful for, sometimes it is good to take time and appreciate them.

Crack open a Dos Equis and throw some food on the grill.

11:49 pm - Arigato Hakaio.
..
Yet another.
I won't mince words and say that in my recent days that I have been fan of things that have occurred when the name Shinya Hasimoto is mentioned, but I always have respected the man.

When the news of Hashimoto's passing reached me through several phonecalls through out the night, I found myself moved far more than even I would have expected. As of right now I am typing this entry from a hotel lobby in rural Weatherford Oklahoma broken down during a cross country drive taking myself and helping move my significant other back to California.

I sat in the parking lot last night and for the 1st time in a long time I thought back to my days with ZERO ONE and all of my experiences with Hashimoto. When I took the time to really recall these moments I realized what a dramatic impact he had made in my life and my career.

When I 1st started in Japan my knowledge of Hashimoto was limited albeit somewhat educated. It was only when I began to wrestle across the ring from the man that I truly realized what it meant to be a star. Hashimotos ambiance did not lie in a flashy gimmickry, trend setting re-invention or the intangible coolness, of his musketeer brethren. Hashimoto had foregone the pomp and circumstance of wrestling and simply sought to be the embodiment of an ideal. The ideal that was the founding principle of the dojo that produced him which was derived from the centuries old warrior customs of his culture. Hashimoto embodied Toukon, The Fighting Spirit.

Once at a preliminary training session, Hashimoto had quizzed a group of relatively clueless gaijin about the most important aspect of Professional Wrestling. Answers sprung forth pleading a case for "Technique" and "Psychology", but Hashimoto simply pointed at his eyes and said "The Fire". The fire, the burning spirit, the unyielding will, even in the face of insurmountable challenges. With a simple gesture and the most intense stare I had ever seen I understood all these things that I have just listed and nodded in compliance.

Hashimoto's popularity was no accident as he represented the very essence of the much vaunted Samurais of old. He was a single ideal, by any means necessary, no questions asked, decisiveness personified. Enter the ring and destroy the opposition that is in front of you. Hakaio.

In his simplicity you could find his brilliance and the basis for his astounding charisma.

Outside of the ring Hashimoto was the polar opposite. Kind, gentle, and always ready to crack a joke or hear one, he enjoyed life and was always easy to smile. If you had never seen him in the ring you would guess him to be a late night variety talk show host complete with staged breakfalls and wacky accenting sound effects to enhance his often jovial demeanor. In my time spent in Japan with Hashimoto he was also generous. I remember one night I was sulking around the ZERO ONE offices harrassing boss Nakamura to hurry up and finish working so we could go out drinking and watching Samurai TV. Hashimoto came in to do some late night work in his office and he was astounded to find me sitting in the office bullpen pitching in and counting out tickets just to pass the time. He tried to express his gratitude as best he could in his limited english but I assured him that it was ok and I was more than happy to oblige.

The next week Hashimoto had caught wind that I was going out on a date. Remembering my very mild efforts the week before, he assigned his car and driver to me and paid for my evening in full. It was a gesture often unheard of in most workplaces but it is a gesture that will always be endeared to me. Also his words before I started my night
"Joe-san, tonight no fire in eyes, Tonight eyes clear. I teach you too much".
I nodded in agreement and made my way to the door. As I approached the office bullpen packed to the brim with busy employees his voice stopped me again
"Joe-SAN!"
Hai Hashimoto-san!" I replied
"If tonight you feel fire in your pants, please go to hospital!"
The office erupted in delayed laughter as the english speaking employees quickly explained to the others in between gasping chuckles. I turned around and faced the red visaged hysterical Hashimoto and bowed deeply

HAI HASHIMOTO-SAMA! Mochiron!

God bless you Hashi, Find happiness.

08:26 am
Howdy,
I must admit that the shows this weekend where intresting to say the least. Alot of fun at both but I am exhausted. Honestly it is time for a bit of R&R this week. Between the travel and a ton of work I need a vacation before I hop back on the plane Friday.
For those who have sent me e-mails regarding a number of subjects, please indulge me as I am backlogged to all hell on e-mails (So far about 264 deep). The gears are turning, things are changing, time to get ready.
I'm fired up, you fired up?

Life is too short to sit idly by and wait for the world.
Get on your horse, slide on those shoes, go forth and go boldly.
The journey is uncertain, the guarantees are few, but the rewards are limitless and that experience is what will truly define you.
Sit on the mountain tops, swim in the seas
Touch every corner of the earth and know you lived filled to the brim leaving no room for doubt and dreams realized.
Onward young soldier,
Onward...

S. Joe.

04:50 pm - Updates
Yo,

-So a pretty fun show out in Buffalo, James Gibson is a hell of a wrestler.

-My last Livejournal WAS NOT some coded message, For those who are not more regular readers I have expounded on several passages that I find to have great relevance to society. You can find several Hagakure entrances throughout;nbsp;my journal so please, stop over thinking it all.

-As for my status yes I have spoken to the great people and WWE and TNA, as well as newly garnered interest from New Japan as my former local boss is now the President of the company. I have not made any decisions, and am exploring all the opportunities I am fortunate enough to have presented to me. Honestly I want to do whats right for me and whats right for the company that would like to use me. I find mutually beneficial business relationships are always better in the long run and finding out where I can best achieve that is the key.

-Hooters sucks. Lets face it folks its the biggest scam going. I mean piss poor food, bad beer selection, and less than "Hooter-rific" waitresses. Its sad really.

That's about all for now, Enjoy whats left of your Sunday, back to the grind tomorrow.

12:18 pm - It's your thang, Do what yo wanna do.

*************************
Human life is truly a short affair. It is better to live doing the things that you like. It is foolish to live within this dream of a world seeing unpleasantness and doing only things that you do not like. But it is important never to tell this to young people as it is something that would be harmful if incorrectly understood.
Personally, I like to sleep. And I intend to appropriately confine myself more and more to my living quarters and pass my life away sleeping.
*************************
From: The Hagakure

Well, what more can be said. If you going to spend a considerable part of your life doing it you might as well enjoy it. By the way don't let the last sentence fool you. The inadvertent author of the Hagakure, Yamamoto Tsunemoto was in his latter years when he recited the passages in this book to a younger Samurai who wrote them down.

02:50 pm - Crikee! He's a angry bugga aint e'?

Oooh Bom Bom, CHA Chigga chiggaaaaa!

So a few weeks ago I received a call from ROH alumnist and good friend Alexis Laree informing me that she would be in Cali for a few days and would really love to hang out and go party. This is prompted because as anyone in the world of wrestling knows, when you come to Southern California I am always more than happy to be your tour guide and show you the many sights, sounds and magic that make up the place I call home (Jesus, I really should write press releases for Disney).
I said "COOL" and resigned myself to stop by Marina Del Rey to scoop up her and her colleague Angel Williams and go party down in The O.C.

Bom Bom, CHA! CHA!

When I arrived I was informed that Tommy Dreamer, Danny Doring, and Swinger where also in town since hey all where doing motion capture work for a new WWE video game release. Tommy being the pretty decent cat he is invited me along to instead join the festivities they where planning to have in Hollywood so I did and we headed North.

CHA! Chigga Chigga

After dinner we  forayed to the Saddleback Ranch in Universal City for some drinks and dancing. The good Mr. Dreamer had the VIP waiting so off we went up the ever exciting 405 freeway. On the way to our destination of choice "The Dream" informed me that he really, REALLY needed to use the "facilities" and asked that I pull off on Mulholland and find the nearest gas station. Unfortunately Mulholland only leads into the Bel Aire hills of Fresh Prince fame which does not really have any "facilities" to speak of at all. Being a tried, true and tested warrior of the road Tommy implored me to pull off to the side of the road and he would follow in the steps of his fore fathers before him and use nature as God had intended it.

Tommy made his way into the wilds of Bel Aire and I circled the SUV around giving a man his privacy, and administering a small tour of the LA skyline for the other passengers. A few minutes had passed since we had left Tommy to do the deed so I spun around our caravan and headed back down the road to grab a hopefully relieved Dreamer and continue onto to the club.

Bom Bom, Cha hoo Cha hoo

When we arrived to pick up Tommy he stood in the middle of the road chest heaving brandishing a hub cap and a towel upon what I am sure was a reccomendation from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I asked the visibly distressed Tommy what had happened, he stared directly at me and proclaim " A Pack of fucking Coyotes just tried to eat me!". It seemed The Dream was quite expeditious in his duties and when he finished he was greeted with the rustling of leaves as something was moving in the woods. Soon he found himself being flanked by 4 Coyotes so he ran up to the main road. His efforts where for naught as when he arrived at the main road he had made it just in time to see me pulling away and was forced to grab a wayward hub cap and begin banging the ground like a mad man in a effort to scare off the now encircling predators. He fended away the beasts until a local resident had pulled up in his Mercedez and asked if "Everything was OK". Tommy told him " This pack of coyotes are trying to eat me" to which the man responded " Ah OK" and drove off, most likely too rich to care or writing the Dream off as a wayward methadone addict who had made his way into the woods.  I questioned the validity of Tommy's story almost finding it too grandious to believe until he pointed to the ridge across the street where 3 coyotes sat ears perked up licking their lips and staring intently at the meal that got away.

After things calmed down we headed to Hollywood and celebrated. I mean lets face it, not since the days of the Viking warriors have you been able to fend off a hungry pack of dogs and then drink in celebration with your friends. The vodka flowed like mead and all was well in the world, and somewhere on Tommy Dreamers mantle place sits the mighty Hubcap of Wolf Warding. Hail to you Mr. Dreamer, this buds for you.

Bom Bom Cha Chigga Chiggaaaaaaa!
